Norway is best known for its jagged mountains and stunning fjords, as well as being an open and inclusive place with a high standard of living. Explore all the history and natural beauty this country has to offer on a five-night getaway for two.
Spend two nights in a 4-star hotel in Oslo, the most populous city in Norway. During your stay, a private guide will take you to explore the heart of Oslo and the gardens around the Royal Palace, learning about the monuments and buildings as you pass by them, as well as the local culture. You’ll discover more about the Norwegian hiking culture and the traditional snacks eaten by the locals on the “mandatory” Sunday hike, as you sample three local specialties, such as Norwegian fish, cheese, or ham. The tour will end in front of the new Munch museum.
Then travelling to the town of Bergen by train, you’ll embark on a spectacular journey through Norway, which some consider to be ‘one of the most beautiful train rides in the world’. The seven-hour breathtaking and scenic train ride offers stunning views of the countryside, fjords, mountains and glaciers. The train crosses through mountainous landscapes from Oslo and across the Hallingdal Valley. You will also pass by the Hardangerjøkulen glacier before descending to your final destination, Bergen.
While exploring Bergen you will spend three-nights at the iconic and prominent five-star Norge Hotel. Enjoy a three-hour cruise along the Mostraumen Strait. The fjords and steep mountain views will have you in awe as you take in all the natural beauty. Next up, shop like a local at Norway’s most visited outdoor market that dates back to the 1200’s. You will be provided with a 100€ voucher to spend at Fjellskal Fisk & Skalldyr restaurant and store. It is inside the renowned and picturesque Fish Market located in the charming heart of the city, between the fjords and Bergen’s seven mountains. Your ‘Nordic Way’ experience will have you feeling relaxed, happy and it may even have you wanting to stay a little while longer.
